My Review of the News

Did you hear about the school that cancelled its sports day because the risk of sunburn. It was a cloudy afternoon the temp was 15C and some of the parents had umbrellas with them.

When are we going to stop being over protective of our children. When I was a child I rode a bike without a helmet, played conkers without goggles and climbed trees and I could go on, but it did me no harm and millions of other adults.

MPs Allowances

It’s amazing how a MP can pay his wife for work done but I can’t pay my mother for the care work she does for me. I can’t pay her because we live at the same address and the Government is worried the system would be open to abuse and the MPs system isn’t open to abuse!! I think they need to take a long look in the mirror.

Carer’s Allowance

Did you know that my mother can’t get carer’s allowance because she receives the State Pension and it is classed as a benefit. How can someone pay all their working life into the State Pension to find out it’s a benefit. It’s bad enough your taxed on your State Pension when you have already paid tax, but to class it as a benefit is ridiculous.  

Theft of NHS Laptop

Yet again peoples personal information is lost. When are Government employees going to remember not to leave laptops in cars. The employees who do this should be charged with being ‘Stupid’. It’s not good enough that they can do this and get away with it.
