About Me

My name is Michael and I’m age between 40 to 50 years old, I will let you have a guess when you see my picture. I have been disabled since 1987 and have been confined to a wheelchair since 2000. I won’t bore you with what’s wrong with me. I just take each day as it comes and keep positive about life.

I was born in ha ha you thought I was going to tell you what year I was born in that would make it to easy for you to work out my age. So, when I was born I was rejected by my mother so I was put up for adoption. Fortunately I was adopted by a loving family and my mum has given me a great life, she is one in a million. I had a normal childhood and schooling, well there was some highs and lows but I can’t tell you about them. When I left school I joined the RAF and had a great time unfortunately I fell ill in 1987 and had to be medically discharged. My last station when I fell ill was in Scotland and that is where I built my post service life. I worked for several years in civilian street and even set up my own business which was very successful until 2000 and a lot of fun. Lots of intriguing things happened in the time the business was opened. But you will have to read my book when I finish it to find what happened. In 2000 my illness took a turn for the worse so I had to stop work.

I really enjoyed my time in Scotland, I lived on the East Coast in the Tayside / Angus area, it is such a beautiful country. In 1996 I got married to a Scottish girl we had out ups and downs like every couple, but in 2004 we decided to sell the house and separate. At that point in discussion with my family we decided it would be best for me to move back to England to be looked after by my family. So I moved back with my mother so she could look after me. In hindsight my mother wishes she had moved up to Scotland to look after me as the NHS is run a lot better up there. In all the time I was in and out of hospital I never caught an infection the first time I go into a hospital down here I get MRSA and had it for 2 years.

I have a 2 sisters and 1 brother and one of my sisters and my brother are adopted. We all get on very well but have our separate lives. I have a little dog she is a Yorkshire Terrier. She is nearly 8 years old and I have had since she was a puppy and I wouldn’t be without her.

I currently live in a small village in the countryside in Gloucestershire, it is really nice and peaceful. I think that is enough to be going on with and thank you for reading this.
